Emily is a Ph.D. student in the Biomedical Engineering program within the College of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Her work currently focuses on evaluating the activation of immune cells following a traumatic brain injury through tensile loading of in vitro primary neuronal cells.

Emily joined the Franck Lab in 2021 after receiving her B.S. in Bioengineering from the University of Maryland in 2019 and then completing a 2 year research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health.
