Sinan Sahin Candan

Sinan is a Ph.D. student in the Biomedical Engineering program within the College of Engineering at University of Wisconsin-Madison.

His work currently focuses on designing experimental procedures and related devices to experimentally characterize collagen gels under mechanical forces with high sensitivity. Future directions involve data based constitutive modelling of collagen fiber networks to enhance measurements performed in cell mechanics.

Sinan joined the Franck Lab in 2021 with a Fulbright Ph.D. scholarship. He received his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Middle East Technical University in 2016 and M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the same university in 2019.
